  • Taiwan Evergreen Symphony Orchestra

    The Evergreen Symphony has four Puglisi double basses, which were custom made for them. The Orchestra required two smaller instruments to fit their players, and two larger ones for depth of sound. These instruments have been played in the Orchestra for the last ten years.

  • Vincent Wienckowski – Jazz Artist

    Born in Germany, Vincent studied both classical and jazz Double Bass, until he arrived in Melbourne in 1995. He quickly developed a great reputation as an in-demand jazz musician, known for giving his performances great drive through his “walking bass” technique. Vincent has performed and recorded in Australia and overseas, regularly playing with Sugar Blue, the Rory Clark Trio and the Gianni Mariucci Trio.

  • Nick Haywood – Jazz Artist

    Nick Haywood recently became the proud owner of Benedict's solo model Bass – Sebastiano. An instrument which was christened by Ron Carter in the 2011 Melbourne International Jazz Festival. Nick Haywood has an extensive career and a comprehensive discography with many of Australia's greatest artists. He was also nominated for 2 Aria music awards including Best jazz recording. He has worked with many of Australia's best known Australian jazz musicians including Don Burrows, Dale Barlow, Paul Grabowsky, Bernie McGann, and James Morrison, and with many international jazz artists including Nat Adderley, Buddy Greco, Kenny Kirkland, Claire Martin, Jack Parnell, Mark Murphy among many others. He has been featured on over 100 music CDs.
